Doug Hollinger
Forester
Doug Hollinger graduated in 1984 from Sheridan High School. Upon graduation, Mr. Hollinger attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in forestry, through one of the nation's top forestry programs.
In 1988, Mr. Hollinger began working as forester for Arkansas Oak Flooring out of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. In this position as a procurement forester, Douglas was responsible for acquiring timber and overseeing logging crews. He also began working for Koppers Industries in North Little Rock, Arkansas. In his role, Douglas was a crosstie buyer with a territory that included Arkansas, east Texas and south Louisiana.
In 1999, Douglas became the CIS (Chief Insurance Salesman) for Davis-Garvin Insurance Agency in Columbia, South Carolina. In this role, he was responsible for selling and servicing a number of insurance products primarily to logging companies and sawmill operations. His territories included Arkansas, eastern Oklahoma and north Louisiana.
In 2005, Doug began working with Shelby Taylor Trucking of Sheridan, Arkansas. As a procurement forester, Mr. Hollinger was tasked with buying timber and overseeing logging operations.
Mr. Hollinger enjoys hunting, golfing, and Razorback sports. Once an accomplished UAM baseball athlete, his claim to fame was pitching a no-hitter shutout. Doug has been married to his wife, Kim, since 1993. They have three children, Ashley, Caleb, and Jacob.
