In 1967, with the determination of one man, two chainsaws and a log truck, Shelby Taylor began operating and building strong relationships with landowners in south central Arkansas. In 1980, Shelby expanded by adding two additional trucks, hiring drivers, forestry crews, and completing bigger jobs on time and on budget. By 1990, Shelby Taylor Trucking was operating their own fleet of skidders, trucks and logging crews.

With participation in the Arkansas Forestry Association, Shelby Taylor was already being recognized as a capable and trusted forest services company with capacity to cut and haul over 2,700 tons per day.  In the 2000’s, the company grew the fleet by six trucks with a total weekly capacity of 13,500 tons.

Today, Shelby Taylor Trucking is an established and reputable family-owned and operated logging company. We are a trusted resource for landowners in south central Arkansas with a service area of over 100 square miles.  From planting, design, valuation, harvesting and forestry products marketing, our group of professionals and experts can help you leverage the value of Arkansas’ sustainable forests.
